Start with a great photo.

A few simple choices help bring their expression, markings, and personality into the portrait.
  • One pet, clearly in viewUse a photo of one pet with the full face, eyes, and ears visible. Keep hands, toys, and other pets away from the face.
  • Natural light, sharp detailsChoose a sharp original photo taken near a window or outdoors in soft light. Avoid blur, heavy filters, deep shadows, and screenshots.
  • At their eye levelA front-facing or gently turned head gives a clear view of their expression. Avoid an extreme angle or a close-up that crops the ears.
